The Carriage House at Milleridge Village has been Re-Imagined- Grand Opening Features Wine and Small Plate Selections

Celebrated Chef, Stephen Rosenbluth, Creates Eclectic Array of Tempting “Comfort Plates”

The Milleridge Village, home to the well-respected Carriage House, a beloved dining choice for less formal fare than the renowned Milleridge Inn, has re-imagined itself as a new and exciting destination for wine and small plate selections.  Under the capable culinary hands of chef Stephen Rosenbluth, the casual venue, which sits adjacent to the Milleridge Village in Jericho, has crafted a menu that includes small salads, small plate main courses, as well as flatbread selections, charcuterie boards and desserts.  The dining selections take their place alongside a generous wine list, featuring a host of options, including white and red wines, sparkling wines, and other carefully chosen libations.

“I am excited to offer the public a re-imagined Carriage House, featuring the best wine choices and exciting small plate selections,” announced Butch Yamali, President and owner of The Carriage House.  “It is a culinary triumph to secure Stephen Rosenbluth, who has distinguished himself as one of our region’s most talented chefs.”

The all-new Carriage House boasts a collection of delightful salads to welcome guests.  The Charred Caesar boasts a grilled heart of baby romaine, garlic croutons, homemade Caesar and crispy applewood smoked pork belly.  Other salads include the Poached Pear & Beet Salad, as well as the Carriage House Chopped Salad.  A glimpse into the thoughtful consideration that has gone into the creation of the small plates can be gleaned in the descriptions.  For instance, Tuna Nachos feature diced Ahi tuna, edamame, crispy rice paper chip, Asian vinaigrette, siracha and wasabi aioli drizzle.  And, the Crispy Rhode Island Style Calamari is comprised of crispy squid tossed in garlic butter with spicy cherry peppers with marinara sauce.

Small Plates, the point of pride for chef Rosenbluth, boast selections such as Poached Figs & Gorgonzola, Bang Bang Shrimp, Crispy Everything Spiced Brussel Sprouts, Truffle Fries, Poutine, Tuna Nachos, Pei Mussels, Braised Short Ribs, Mac & Cheese, and a mini meatloaf sandwich, among other choices.

Complementing the small plates are a variety of homemade flatbreads, a charcuterie board and cheese & fruit plate.  Brie & Prosciutto, Margarita and Buffalo Chicken flatbreads are the perfect accompaniment to a snack or meal at The Carriage House.

Visitors to the Carriage House are giving a nod of approval to the desserts, which are made on the property at Milleridge Village Bakery.  Café Affagato to Martini is a vanilla gelato with warm expresso vanilla whipped cream.  The cinnamon bread pudding is an irresistible variation on the Milleridge Bakery’s famous small-loaf cinnamon bread.

Celebrated chef Stephen Rosenbluth has joined The Carriage House to recraft the establishment with its new theme and flair.  The chef formerly owned Anchor Down Restaurant in Merrick.  He also distinguished himself as an accomplished and classically-trained French chef at Brasserie in Manhattan.  The chef’s dedication to his craft and attention to detail has brought an inspiring esprit de corps among kitchen staff and servers at The Carriage House.

Finally, a wide selection of wines includes Pinot Grigios, Chardonnays, Roses, Rieslings, Cabernet Sauvignons & blends, Red blends, Pinot Noirs, Merlots, Malbecs and Sparkling Wines.

The Carriage House combines rustic and sophisticated décor, which combines to create a casual and comfortable ambiance.  Popular additions to the restaurant include the dining igloos.  The outdoor clear geodesic domes boast patio furnishings, heat-emitting fireplaces, TVs and blankets.  The clear igloos afford diners an intimate and private setting while offering a stunning view of the holiday village, which is aglow with holiday lights and seasonal decorations.

“I invite people who love small plate offerings and wine selections, as well as anyone who is looking for a fun and taste-tempting experience, to visit The Milleridge Carriage House,” concluded Yamali.  “I know that this re-imagined restaurant will provide a great dining experience and a fun evening for our guests.”
