The Milleridge Partners with World Famous “Abracadabra NYC” for the Scariest Halloween Season Ever at Milleridge Village During October
“The Last Ride” Coffin Burial Simulator is a “Bucket List” Must for Halloween Revelers
The Milleridge’s Halloween Village is renowned for providing “spooktacular” fun during the Halloween season, but this year the famous holiday venue promises to bring the scare factor to a hair-raising level as the folks at the Milleridge partner with world-famous “Abracadabra NYC.” The Gotham costume, makeup, magic, props, scenery, and set design company is famous for its work on Broadway, as well as television and movie sets. “Gasps” and “shrieks” are among the reviews of the new and enhanced Halloween attractions. The newly added “Last Ride,” coffin burial simulator ride and the re-imagined Haunted House complement longtime favorite attractions, such as the escape room, pumpkin patch, the inflatable corn maze, Halloween-themed bouncy rides, and the spooky train ride. What’s more, the Halloween Village has been totally revamped to create a horrifying, yet delightful, sensory experience for lovers of ghouls and ghosts. An Abracadabra Inc. Pop-Up Magic Shop and a brand-new candy store add to the season’s excitement. And, don’t forget to visit the famous Milleridge Bake Shop, the General Store, and all of the other attractions and features at the Milleridge Inn and Village in Jericho.
“I am excited about the new partnership that the Milleridge Village has with ‘Abracadabra NYC’,” stated Butch Yamali, President and owner of the Milleridge Inn and Village. “The Halloween Village and attractions were always very popular, but the collaboration with Abracadabra NYC has brought the ‘scare factor’ to a frighteningly new level. You just have to visit the Village to believe it.”
Among the newest features at the Halloween Village is “The Last Ride,” coffin burial simulator. Guests who dare to step into the near-death experience are treated to a sensory overload, which includes the sensation of being buried alive, replete with a shaking coffin, the smells of the soil being heaped on top of the casket and the sounds of shovels slinging dirt on top of the victims/guests.
“If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to be buried alive, the burial coffin simulator is the closest thing to a near-death amusement attraction,” announced Yamali. “It isn’t for the faint of heart, but real Halloween enthusiasts will want to put this attraction on their bucket list.”
Another hugely popular attraction at the Halloween Village is the totally revamped Haunted House. An uber-realistic electric chair features a quivering victim who succumbs to the electrifying adventure, and decomposing residents of the Haunted House welcomes guests with other-worldly hospitality. Animatronic ghouls and scary noises combine with smokey vapor to create a skin-crawling ambiance.
“I’ve visited dozens of haunted houses,” stated Yamali, “but, I’ve never been as impressed or scared as I was with this true-to-life near-death experience.”
In addition to the rides, attractions and amusements, the Halloween Village is a festival of the living dead in the form of eerie decorations, sounds and other sensory treats. An antique hearse is drawn by equine skeletons, and unearthed coffins expose visitors to the living dead. The Grim Reaper, half-buried witches, giant demon clowns and a twenty-foot-tall ghost greet visitors.
Youngsters and those who prefer a less-scary adventure will embrace seasonal attractions such as the Spooky Train ride, the Halloween-themed bouncy rides, mini-golf and the inflatable corn mazes, as well as the Abracadabra NYC Pop-Up Magic Shop and the new candy store, not to mention the ever-popular bakery.
